On a trip to Portland, Oregon, we visited Leach Botanical Gardens, a wonderful shady park filled with native plants and set on a hillside, with antique structures, including this main cottage. While my companions hiked up the hillside paths, I sat in the shade and sketched this pleasant view.

About the Artist, Tara lives in Eugene, Oregon, USA, where she is surrounded and inspired by an abundance of natural beauty. Her interest in art began at a young age. She studied Fine Arts at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and had an early career as a designer and maker of art jewelry. For the past 20 years, she has been working as a graphic designer, painter, and illustrator. Tara Kemp is a creature of the Northwest.
