A beautiful summer view of Mt. Hood in Oregon from an alpine meadow filled with pasque flower seed pods and purple camus blooms. One looks past the yellow flower sentinels to the tall, slender evergreen sentinel trees, to the distant sentinel of Mt. Hood decorated with glacial snow patches. I so enjoyed making this oil painting from a photo taken by John Wahlund, and used with permission.

About the Artist, Tara lives in Eugene, Oregon, USA, where she is surrounded and inspired by an abundance of natural beauty. Her interest in art began at a young age. She studied Fine Arts at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and had an early career as a designer and maker of art jewelry. For the past 20 years, she has been working as a graphic designer, painter, and illustrator. Tara Kemp is a creature of the Northwest. Through her paintings she reflects on her extraordinary life in Oregon, the people and places she encounters. She is a values painter.
