Artist's Description
I spent an October afternoon painting plein air in the rows of pinot noir grapes at a local winery. It had been my fantasy to capture the plump, ripe grapes before they were harvested, and I was just in time. The winery was to start harvesting the next day. It felt like a daydream to capture the colors and undulating rows on a misty day surrounded by birdsong.

About the Artist, Tara lives in Eugene, Oregon, USA, where she is surrounded and inspired by an abundance of natural beauty. Her interest in art began at a young age. She studied Fine Arts at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and had an early career as a designer and maker of art jewelry. For the past 20 years, she has been working as a graphic designer, painter, and illustrator. Tara Kemp is a creature of the Northwest. Through her paintings she reflects on her extraordinary life in Oregon, the people and places she encounters. She is a values painter.
