I painted this oil landscape at Mock's Hill in Portland, Oregon on a summer day. The blue sky was filled with puffy clouds moving through all day. Many naturalized fennel plants spread through the little vale. The scene presented many shades of green to challenge my palette, and a long view to stretch my eyes.

About the Artist, Tara lives in Eugene, Oregon, USA, where she is surrounded and inspired by an abundance of natural beauty. Her interest in art began at a young age. She studied Fine Arts at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and had an early career as a designer and maker of art jewelry. For the past 20 years, she has been working as a graphic designer, painter, and illustrator. Tara Kemp is a creature of the Northwest.
