This view of Mt. Hood in Oregon is seen from Timberline Lodge, at the treeline, at sunset. I was having a celebratory dinner at the lodge while watching the colors change in an extraordinary sunset. I left my companion at the dinner table while I ran out behind the lodge to capture a photo of the moment, that later became this oil painting.

About the Artist, Tara lives in Eugene, Oregon, USA, where she is surrounded and inspired by an abundance of natural beauty. Her interest in art began at a young age. She studied Fine Arts at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and had an early career as a designer and maker of art jewelry.
