Artist's Description
"Golden Gardens Trail" is an oil painting done 'en plein air', on site, at the location. This was painted at Golden Gardens Pond near Eugene, OR on an August day. It was an active location. Many people came by on the trail that day, jogging, strolling with toddlers, or on their way to go fishing. The rich colors and warm air belied the often gray clouds that rolled by in the clear, blue sky. I always try to add a pinch of the soil from a location into the paint to anchor it in that place.

About the Artist, Tara lives in Eugene, Oregon, USA, where she is surrounded and inspired by an abundance of natural beauty. Her interest in art began at a young age. She studied Fine Arts at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and had an early career as a designer and maker of art jewelry. For the past 20 years, she has been working as a graphic designer, painter, and illustrator. Tara Kemp is a creature of the Northwest. Through her paintings she reflects on her extraordinary life in Oregon, the people and places she encounters. She is a values painter.
